The Goldie flock (150 -250 birds) is now starting to moult into summer plumage and is either on the islands or in fields by the west car park. A Blackwit was on the lagoon by the "reedy" corner and I had my first Sand Martin of the year at Rhydwyn over the pool at Carreglwyd reedbed. Tony White had the first Sandwich tern back on Thursday night (20th) plus 8 Med Gulls! There were hardly any gulls on the islands this morning but it was nice to get my first hirundine of the year :)
